Penne Alfredo

  • 2 box (16 oz) Bentilia red lentil penne
  • 1 tbsp. Butter
  • 1-2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp. Flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • ¾ cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Vegetable broth
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Italian Parsley finely chopped


  1. Bring 6 cups of salted water to a boil and cook red lentil Penne pasta for 7-8 minutes as you would your regular pasta;
  2. Over a medium heat, add butter in a skillet. Let it begin to melt. Stir in garlic and let simmer for 1 minute;
  3. Add flour and stir it quickly to form a paste;
  4. Quickly stir in vegetable broth and whisk to remove any lumps;
  5. Stir in milk. Let simmer until it starts to thicken (6-8 minutes);
  6. Turn heat to medium-low and add parmesan cheese. Salt and pepper to taste;
  7. Toss red lentil Penne pasta with alfredo sauce;
  8. Top with parmesan cheese & parsley.
