Penne Alfredo
Ingredients
- 2 box (16 oz) Bentilia red lentil penne
- 1 tbsp. Butter
- 1-2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp. Flour
- 1 cup Milk
- ¾ cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup Vegetable broth
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- Italian Parsley finely chopped
Instructions
- Bring 6 cups of salted water to a boil and cook red lentil Penne pasta for 7-8 minutes as you would your regular pasta;
- Over a medium heat, add butter in a skillet. Let it begin to melt. Stir in garlic and let simmer for 1 minute;
- Add flour and stir it quickly to form a paste;
- Quickly stir in vegetable broth and whisk to remove any lumps;
- Stir in milk. Let simmer until it starts to thicken (6-8 minutes);
- Turn heat to medium-low and add parmesan cheese. Salt and pepper to taste;
- Toss red lentil Penne pasta with alfredo sauce;
- Top with parmesan cheese & parsley.
